Warranty, Instructions, & Info

The dallisgrassweeder has a two year limited warranty against materials and workmanship. Limited only to the consumable parts, the bolts and handle cushions. These parts may be worn out. To explain, the bolt(s) may be broken or bent by an underground object such as a tree root or rock and if the dallisgrassweeder is forced one may bend or break a bolt. These bolts are consumable and can be replaced should such an event occur. In other words, the dallisgrassweeder is serviceable. A simple bent bolt may be straightened by unscrewing a handle, slipping it over a bolt, and bending it so it allows the Ejector Disc to clear the bolt. One soon realizes when the bolt can bend and avoids over stressing when on a root or rock.

The "Dallisgrassweeder" shall continue to tighten when first used. To explain, as greater resistance is met while rotating that handles clockwise the threads of the "Dallisgrassweeder" shall continue to tighten. Please keep in mind the roots of weeds grow out laterally from the weed center and by turning the handles clockwise only the "Dallisgrassweeder: is spooling underground, where we cannot see, the roots around the retaining device's threaded, gripping bolts in a winding up effect to roll them up in the opposite direction. 

To surgically remove weeds place the "Dallisgrassweeder" center over the center of the weed at a 90 degree angle, then jiggle/wiggle the handle to allow the blunt ended threaded bolts to slide off any stems and pass buy the stems to the ground (we do not wish to cut or break and seed containing stems) adn then push into the ground, holding the "Dallisgrassweeder" to the ground firmly and then firmly roate the handles clockwise causing the roots to be spooled up on the treaining device underground rolling up the roots in the opposite direction the roots naturally grow. Continue rotating the handles of the "Dallisgrassweeder" clockwise until all resistance is gone and then remove the "Dallisgrassweeder" from the ground and use the ejector knob to place the debris in a trash receptacle. 

To surgically remove weeds that have stalks growing straight up, simply anchor two bolts of the tool at a 45 degree angle then adjust the angle to 90 degrees bending the stalk and then push the "Dallisgrassweeder" into the ground, holding the "Dallisgrassweeder" to the ground, firmly rotate the handles clockwise causing the roots to be spooled up on the retaining device underground rolling up the roots in the opposite direction the roots naturally grow. Continue rotating the handles of the "Dallisgrassweeder clockwise until all resistance is gone then remove the "Dallisgrassweeder" from the ground and use the ejector knob to place the debris in a trash receptacle. 

After surgically removing any weed, using grass seed of the desired type to place in the hole the grass should grow in the next few weeks. Mixing potting soil with seed may insure or assist the seed germination or use the "Dallisgrassweeder" to refil the hole with grass sod. 

To explain about using sod, simply obtain the desired type of sod from a nursery (keep in mind a little goes a long way), the sod is usually available in square sections then after surgically removing  a weed simply use the "Dallisgrassweeder" to surgically remove a plug of sod (the same way as removing a weed) and then surgically place the plug in the hole and the hold the ejector knob and then pull up on the shaft of the "Dallisgrassweeder" and that leaves the sod in place with 4 small aerated holes ready to receive water in the roots.
